Identity - Art Print

Identity (2020)This piece is an extension of thediversityrange released in 2019 and aims to challenge us to question what is the New Zealand identity? In this piece the kiwi bird known as an informal name for New Zealanders, the hibiscus flower to represent our proximity to the pacific ocean and islands and the Mori bowl as a recognition of New Zealands history with the indigenous Mori people.

About the Artist

Established Auckland artist Angie Dennis has been painting professionally since 2002. Angie studied environmental science which perhaps explains her love for preserving flora and fauna in her artworks. Angie is continually inspired by the unique landscape of New Zealand and is constantly pushing boundaries on how she sees life in her new found home. Her work is displayed in collections throughout New Zealand and internationally and were also displayed on the TVNZ set for the 2007 Americas cup. Angie exhibits in a number of galleries around New Zealand and also combines home with gallery where she creates her unique and original artwork. Angies prints are produced to the highest quality, using UV light fast inks and printed and framed in New Zealand.
