The tukutuku pattern shown on this doormat is Kaokao, which represents protection, and was designed by Miriama Grace-Smith.

This doormat from NZ design company Moana Rd is made from Coir, which is the "hair" on the outside of coconuts. The coir comes from Kerala - a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, which is also referred to as "The Land of the Coconuts".
